Mahogany Mountain Vineyard and Winery is a small, family owned and operated winery specializing in limited production of handcrafted premium Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Mourvedre and Zinfandel. Our vineyards are located in a picturesque and sunny high valley (1,500 ft. elevation) in Ramona, California surrounded by mountains. Our microclimate is perfect for growing red grape varietals: hot long summer days and cool nights produce beautifully ripe fruits with deep intense flavors.

In 1996, we started making wine on premises using locally grown grapes. In 1997, we planted our own vineyards with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Mourvedre and Zinfandel varietals. In 2004, we expanded our vineyard to add Syrah to our collection of red wine varietals. 

Our wine-making techniques include hand-picked and organically grown grapes, small bin fermentation, hand punch-down of caps, hand press and fermentation in small oak barrels.  We take great pride in every aspect of grape-growing and every step of wine-making to ensure the quality of our handcrafted estate wines.

On January 6, 2006, the Ramona Valley was designated as an American Viticultural Area by the Federal Taxation and Trade Bureau.
